Getting Started

Deploy your first competitive intelligence agents in 5 minutes.

This guide will help you set up your workspace, deploy your first monitoring agents, and generate your first strategic insights.

1. Initialize Your Workspace

When you first sign up, SpyGlow creates a dedicated workspace for your team. We need basic context to train your agents:

  • Your Industry: Who are you selling to? (e.g., "B2B SaaS", "Fintech").
  • Your Domain (Optional): The "home base" your agents defend. If you don't have a live site yet, you can skip this and add it later in Your Profile.

Tip: Be specific with your industry description (e.g., "AI-powered CRM for Enterprise" instead of just "Software"). This helps the Analysis Agent understand nuance.

Configuring Your Profile

If you skipped adding a domain during onboarding, or want to refine your agent's context:

  1. Go to Your Profile in the sidebar.
  2. Add your Company Domain and Description.
  3. This context allows agents to tailor insights specifically to your business model.

2. Deploy Monitoring Agents

Navigate to Competitors and click Add Competitor.

Enter a domain (e.g., stripe.com). SpyGlow will:

  1. Auto-Enrich: Pull their logo, description, and social links.
  2. Crawl: Index their homepage, pricing, and product pages.
  3. Baseline: Establish the "normal" state for future change detection.

Note: Initial indexing typically takes 2-3 minutes.

3. Run a Content Gap Analysis

SpyGlow's Content Strategy Agent identifies high-value opportunities your competitors are capitalizing on that you are missing.

  1. Go to Content Gap.
  2. Verify your domain is set correctly.
  3. Click Analyze.

The agent will scan top organic competitors and compare their content footprint against yours. The resulting report identifies Missing Opportunities—specific keywords and topics where competitors rank but you do not—providing a clear roadmap for your content team.

4. Generate a Strategic Report

Don't wait for changes to happen. You can generate immediate value using the Strategic Intelligence engine.

  1. Go to Strategic Intelligence.
  2. Click Generate Report.
  3. Select the competitors you just added.
  4. Choose Last 30 Days (or "Initial Analysis").

Your Analyst Agent will review available data, web archives, and market signals to produce an Executive Summary covering trends, threats, and opportunities.

5. Create a Battle Card

Equip your sales team with a "Kill Sheet" for the competitor you just added.

  1. Go to Battle Cards.
  2. Click Generate and select the competitor.
  3. The agent will produce a card containing:
    • Win Strategy: How to beat them.
    • Weaknesses: Where they are vulnerable.
    • Objection Handling: What to say when a prospect brings them up.

6. Chat with AskGlow

You now have a private analyst who knows everything about your competitors. Try asking:

  • "Compare our pricing model to [Competitor]."
  • "What new features did they launch recently?"
  • "Draft a slack message summarizing their latest pivot."

Access the chat via the AskGlow tab or the floating widget.

Next Steps

  • Invite Your Team: Intelligence is useless in a silo. Add your Sales VP and Product Lead via the Team tab.
  • Configure Alerts: Switch from "Daily Digest" to "Real-Time" for critical competitors in Notifications.
