00 · The basics
How is SpyGlow different from change detection tools?
Change detection flags that a page changed. SpyGlow reads the change, explains why it matters, and writes the battle card. Every alert on SpyGlow ships with three things: a summary of what moved, a reason it matters for your strategy, and a recommended action. Raw data vs. intelligence, shipped to your inbox, Slack, or webhook.
Can I track multiple brands from one account?
Yes. Every SpyGlow account includes 10 domains. Each domain is its own workspace with its own competitors, battle cards, reports, and action items. One bill, one dashboard, ten streams of CI. This is what makes SpyGlow the default choice for agencies tracking client brands, holding companies monitoring portfolio firms, and multi-brand SaaS teams tracking per product line.
Does SpyGlow replace my existing competitor research?
It replaces the manual part: reading every competitor's site, extracting what matters, turning it into action items your team can actually use. Your team still owns the strategic part, deciding what to build, when to respond, and how to position. SpyGlow frees up the hours you currently spend turning raw monitoring into usable intelligence.
How fast does setup take?
About 5 minutes. Paste your domain, SpyGlow auto-discovers your direct rivals and their key pages (pricing, product, features, about), and starts monitoring. First battle card generates in under 60 seconds. No coding, no Chrome extension, no sales call.
How often is the data refreshed?
Daily on Free, twice a day on Pro, every 6 hours on Growth, every 3 hours on Teams. Meaningful changes are scored 1 to 10 the moment a scan completes, and anything scored 5 or higher triggers a Slack or webhook alert within minutes. The Monday brief rolls up every change that mattered across all your tracked brands and competitors.
What happens on the free plan?
Two competitors, one domain, daily monitoring, and the full intelligence layer (consolidated reports, battle cards, AskGlow queries, SEO audits). No credit card, no trial clock. Upgrade when you need more competitors, more domains, or the rest of the 24 CI tools.
Can my team collaborate?
Growth and Teams plans include shared workspaces, commenting on competitor changes, assigning action items, role-based permissions, and pooled usage quotas. Teams ships with 3 seats included. Alerts land in Slack or any webhook endpoint so intelligence reaches your team where they already work.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your tracking list, snapshots, battle cards, and AskGlow conversations are private to your account. We never share who you watch, what you track, or what you ask. We never aggregate or sell competitive data across customers.
01 · Pricing & billing
What happens when my free trial ends?
Your tracked data is preserved for 30 days. You can pick a paid plan to resume monitoring, or continue on the Free plan with 2 competitors and 1 domain. No credit card is charged automatically unless you opted into a paid trial.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes, annual billing is offered on Pro, Growth, and Teams plans with roughly 17% off the monthly rate. You can switch between monthly and annual at any time from your billing settings.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from the billing page any time. Your subscription runs until the end of the billing period you already paid for, then stops. We do not prorate unused portions. Full refund and cancellation policy is on our dedicated page.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes, in three specific cases: duplicate charges, billing after cancellation, and material service downtime beyond 72 consecutive hours. Full conditions on our refund policy page.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Free plan (2 competitors, 1 domain, daily monitoring) requires no credit card and no trial clock. Upgrade when you need more.
02 · Data & privacy
Do you train AI models on my data?
No. Your tracked competitor data, AskGlow conversations, and generated battle cards are used only to deliver the SpyGlow service to your account.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data is preserved for 30 days after cancellation. After 30 days of inactivity on the Free plan, archived data is removed per our Privacy Policy. You can request immediate deletion at any time by emailing [email protected].
03 · Team access & roles
How many seats come with each plan?
Free, Pro, and Growth are single-seat accounts. Teams includes 3 seats by default and scales up to 25 seats with seat-based pricing. Each seat has individual login credentials and role-based permissions.
What can team members do?
On Teams plans, you can assign roles. Owners manage billing and settings. Members can view competitors, read battle cards, comment on changes, and get assigned to action items. Custom roles are configurable from the admin panel.
Can I invite contractors or clients to a shared workspace?
Yes, on Teams. Each workspace (up to 10 per account) can have its own set of invited members. Useful for agencies: one SpyGlow account, 10 client brands, each client sees only their own workspace.
04 · Product & integration
Does SpyGlow integrate with Slack?
Yes, on Pro, Growth, and Teams. Signed Slack OAuth. Configure per-workspace which channels receive alerts and at what importance threshold (5 to 10).
Do you have a webhook for custom integrations?
Yes. Any incoming change above your importance threshold fires a JSON payload to any URL you configure. Docs on structure are in the in-app settings.
Is there an API?
A public API is not currently available. The integration paths today are Slack and webhooks.
Can SpyGlow monitor sites behind a login?
Not by default. SpyGlow monitors public web pages. If you need to track a specific gated page (e.g., a pricing page that requires sign-in), email us and we will discuss options on a case-by-case basis.
