Daily Market Feed

Read your dashboard feed of competitor moves and decide what to do about each one.

The Daily Market Feed is the home of your dashboard at /dashboard. Instead of a list of every page edit, it groups what your competitors did into short stories and puts the ones that need a decision at the top.

What a story is

A story is a set of related signals about a competitor, grouped together. It can hold one signal or several. Each story shows:

  • a significance label: Critical, High, Medium or Low,
  • the competitor, where the signals came from, and when the latest one arrived,
  • a short summary and, when available, What this means for you,
  • See the evidence, which lists each signal with its source and time, and links to View the change or Open the source.

Where signals come from

SpyGlow collects signals for every competitor you monitor. The source shows on each signal.

SourceWhat it isPlans
WebsiteA change on a page you monitorAll
New pagesA page the competitor added to their siteAll
JobsNew roles on the competitor's public job boardAll
Pricing pageA plan or price change on a pricing page you monitorAll

News signals start once you choose which competitors to follow on the News page. See Competitor news.

Today and This week

Switch between Today and This week at the top of the feed.

Today has up to three sections:

  • Decide today: the stories that need you most from this morning's feed, up to three. Only stories rated Medium or higher appear here.
  • Everything else since yesterday: the rest of this morning's stories, one line each. Click a line to see its summary and evidence and to decide on it.
  • New since 08:00: stories that arrived after this morning's feed. They lead tomorrow's feed.

This week shows the stories from the past 7 days, as Decide this week and Everything else this week, with a count of how many stories you decided.

When nothing needs you, the feed says so and tells you how many competitors SpyGlow is watching. Before your competitors change anything, it shows Your first stories are on their way.

When the feed day starts

The feed starts a new day at 08:00 on weekdays, in your account's time zone. Monday's feed covers the weekend. New accounts run on UTC.

If your computer uses a different time zone, the account owner sees a note on the dashboard that offers to switch, with buttons such as Use America/New_York and Keep UTC. On a team, the team owner's time zone sets the clock for everyone.

Decide: Ignore, Watch or Respond

Each open story has three buttons.

  • Ignore folds the story into one line, so it stops taking space.
  • Watch follows the story for 30 days, and the story shows the date the watch ends. It appears in the Watching card, and it comes back into the feed on the day new evidence arrives. When the 30 days end, the story leaves the feed and the Watching card, and later evidence starts a new story.
  • Respond marks the story as responded and opens Create new action, already filled in: a title that starts with "Respond:", the competitor, the summary and evidence links, a priority that matches the story's significance, and the category Competitive response. Adjust it, then click Create action. The story shows Responded with a link to Open actions. If you close the dialog without creating the action, the story stays marked as responded.

Changed your mind? Click Undo on the story to put it back as an open story.

On a team, a decision is shared. When a teammate ignores, watches or responds to a story, everyone on the team sees it.

The Watching card

The Watching card lists the stories you asked SpyGlow to follow. Each one says New evidence or No change since you chose to watch. Click Stop to end a watch early.

Also on the dashboard

  • A status line with how many competitors and pages SpyGlow watches, and when the last and next checks run. Manage monitoring opens your competitors.
  • Tiles for changes this week, critical and high changes, your AI visibility score and your SEO score.
  • Do this first, which points to the one step most worth taking next, such as reviewing critical changes or running your first SEO audit.
  • First look, for a competitor you added in the past week that has no changes yet: what SpyGlow learned about them during setup.
  • Today's Brief, a short summary of what happened across SpyGlow since your last visit, with next steps marked Critical, High, Medium or Tip.
  • Critical and recent changes and Competitor activity, for the detail behind the stories.
