Reports

Read your weekly and monthly competitor reports, make one on demand, and share it as a link, a PDF or an email.

After a busy week you want one page that says what your competitors did, why it matters and what to do about it. Reports give you that page for each week and each month. Use them to catch up, or to brief your team or your boss. Open Reports in the sidebar.

What a report covers

Each report opens with a short summary and What matters most. Below that, findings are grouped by brand (domain) and by topic, such as Competitor changes, Competitor news, SEO intelligence, AI visibility, Content opportunities, Keyword opportunities, Battle cards and Action progress.

Findings with sources have a link such as View 2 evidence items. Click it to see the stored sources behind the finding.

Some reports end with recommended priorities. Where a priority shows Create tracked action, click it to add it to Actions, linked back to the report.

When reports arrive

  • Weekly: on Pro, Growth and Teams, SpyGlow prepares a weekly report every Monday and emails it to you.
  • Monthly: on every plan, SpyGlow prepares a monthly report at the start of each month and emails it to you. Monthly reports stop while monitoring is paused for all of your competitors.

To stop report emails, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any report email.

Make a report now

At the top of the Reports page:

  • Generate weekly now makes a report on the past seven days. You can make one a day.
  • Generate monthly makes a report on the past month.

Reports you make yourself are not emailed. They appear on the page when ready. Click Refresh if you do not see one yet. To send one, open it and click Email.

Find earlier reports

The newest weekly brief, when you have one, sits at the top of the page. All other reports are in the Report archive below it. Filter with the tabs:

  • All
  • News: reports from Competitor news
  • Weekly
  • Monthly
  • Saved: reports you marked with Save

Share, download or email a report

Open a report. The buttons at the top are:

  • Save: bookmarks the report so it shows under the Saved tab.
  • PDF: downloads a PDF copy.
  • Share: creates a read-only link.
  • Email: sends a copy to the email address on your account. Evidence links in the email still need a SpyGlow sign-in. News reports do not have this button.
  1. Click Share.
  2. Under Link expires after, choose 7, 30 or 90 days.
  3. Click Create link, then Copy link.

Copy the link right away. For security, the full link is shown only once. Anyone with the link can read the report without signing in. They cannot edit it or see anything else in your workspace.

The dialog lists the links for the report, yours and your teammates', with their expiry and how many times each was opened. Click Revoke to stop a link you created. A team owner can revoke any link in the team.
